Wartburg College Master Plan

Wartburg College is a nationally recognized four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America with an enrollment of about 1300 students. RITLAND+KUIPER Landscape Architects was responsible for the master plan that guided fourteen aggressive development years under the Bob Vogel administration. This plan shaped campus growth, locating several new buildings and features with its strength being the way in which buildings connect and relate to form strong campus spaces. Although different architects were involved in the building projects, the sense of whole is maintained by each building assuming its proper role in the overall plan and architectural character. Intertwined into these campus improvements are intimate gardens and spaces also designed by our office.
